Định nghĩa

Dạng bài này yêu cầu bạn chỉ ra những nguyên nhân dẫn đến hiện tượng được nêu ra trong đề bài và những ảnh hưởng/tác động của nó.

Sẽ bao gồm Introduction (mở bài), Body (thân bài) và Conclusion (kết bài)

1.Introduction

Giới thiệu chung về chủ đề được nói đến trong đề bài và đưa ra câu trả lời chung cho hai câu hỏi ở đề bài. Nhìn chung, Introduction là một cách paraphrase lại nội dung của phần đề bài. Nhưng nó được người viết biểu đạt bằng ngôn ngữ, hình thức khác nhưng nghĩa của chúng thì giống nhau.

Đồng thời, các bạn chỉ nên trình bày phần Introduction trong thời lượng là 2 câu. Tránh tình trạng phần giới thiệu của bạn bị dài dòng, lan man

Ví dụ: Happiness is considered very important in life.

Why is it difficult to define?

What factors are important in achieving happiness?

=> “It is no doubt true that the majority of people would like to be happy in their lives. While the personal nature of happiness makes it difficult to describe, there do seem to be some common needs that we all share with regard to experiencing or achieving happiness.”

2.Body

Phần Body của dạng bài này sẽ được chia làm hai đoạn rõ ràng. Mỗi đoạn sẽ lần lượt trả lời cho từng câu hỏi ở đề bài. Đừng nên cố gắng kết hợp 2 câu trả lời trong một đoạn văn. Điều đó sẽ khiến Phần Thân bài của bạn trở nên rối ý và khả năng rất cao là bạn sẽ lạc đề hoặc viết lan man.

Ví dụ: Today more people are overweight than ever before.

What in your opinion are the primary causes of this?

What are the main effects of this epidemic?

=> “In my opinion, the foremost causes of obesity are inactive lifestyle and unhealthy eating habits. Today more and more people rely on cars instead of walking, have less physical demands at work and prefer inactive leisure activities. This results in burning fewer calories and gaining weight. Moreover, the problem is accentuated by the growing number of people, who eat irregularly and consume large portions of high-calorie food. For example, about 50% of the adult population in Europe with so-called disordered eating suffer from obesity.

The possible effects of this problem include physical health problems and loss of productivity. First of all, obesity results in the incorrect functioning of the human body and contributes to the risk of developing some chronic illnesses. For example, as body fat percentage increases, the person’s metabolism worsens, which in turn may result in diabetes or heart diseases. Secondly, overweight people are very unhealthy and often suffer from stress and tiredness. This lessens their work capacity and results in lower productivity. For example, it has been proven that an obese person needs to put more effort to complete some task than a person with normal weight.”

3.Conclusion

Tổng kết, khái quát được câu trả lời cho cả 2 câu hỏi trong phần Kết bài. Một mẹo nhỏ là hãy đọc lại những gì bạn đã viết. Bằng cách này bạn sẽ dễ dàng khái quát được các ý chính hơn.

Ví dụ: Nowadays the way many people interact with each other has changed because of technology.

In what ways has technology affected the types of personal relationships?

Has this become a positive or negative development?

=>” In conclusion, technology has certainly revolutionized communication between people, but not all of the outcomes of this revolution have been positive.”
